We handle both — slab selection and fabrication are done in-house, so there's one point of contact from start to finish.
Do marble and granite benchtops need sealing?
Marble generally needs periodic resealing to guard against staining. Granite is more resistant but can also benefit from sealing depending on the finish. We'll advise on care specific to your chosen stone.
What's the difference between polished, honed and leathered finishes?
Polished gives a glossy, reflective surface that shows off colour and veining most vividly. Honed is matte and smooth, offering a softer, more contemporary look with less visible scratching over time. Leathered adds a subtle texture that hides fingerprints and smudges well, popular in modern kitchens. We can show you samples of each in our showroom.
How much does a marble or granite benchtop cost?
Pricing depends on the slab chosen, benchtop size and shape, and the amount of cutting and cutouts required. We provide a detailed, itemised quote after an initial consultation so there are no surprises.
Can you cut around induction cooktops, sinks and tapware?
Yes, all cutouts for cooktops, undermount or drop-in sinks, and tapware are measured and cut precisely during fabrication, based on your chosen appliances and fittings.
Do you offer waterfall edges or feature ends?
Yes, waterfall edges (where the stone continues down the side of an island or cabinetry) are a popular feature we regularly fabricate for a high-end, seamless look.
What edge profiles are available?
We offer a range of edge profiles from simple pencil and bevel edges through to more detailed bullnose or mitred options — our team can talk you through what suits your style.
Is granite or marble better for bathroom vanities as well as kitchens?
Both work well for bathroom vanities. Granite's low porosity and durability suit high-moisture areas particularly well, while marble offers a striking feature look for feature vanities — we can advise based on your bathroom's use and style.
